Gerardo's story

From Ecuador to the world, and back to your cup.

The name the world knows from the song. The coffee from the country that raised him.

In his words

I was twelve when my family left Ecuador for the United States. I didn’t bring much with me, but I brought a big dream.

Music carried that dream farther than I ever imagined. I started out breakdancing, found my way into movies, and then “Rico Suave” became a hit around the world. That name has followed me ever since.

But long before the song, there was the taste of home: the coffee on the table, the long conversations, and the way one cup could bring everyone together. I’ve spent more than thirty years in music, helping other artists chase their own dreams, and wherever I went, that feeling came with me.

It carries the name the world knows, but its heart comes from Ecuador.

Rico Suave Coffee brings my story full circle: beans grown high in the Andes, in the country that raised me.

So pour a cup. Slow down. Share it with someone. And remember where you come from, wherever your dreams take you.

Why this coffee
01

It starts on one mountain

Not a blend of ten anonymous countries. Every bag of Rico Suave is grown on high-altitude family farms in Ecuador — one origin, fully traceable, from the cherry to your cup.

02

Altitude you can taste

At 1,200+ metres the cherries ripen slowly, and slow is where the sweetness lives. That is what makes the cup so smooth — so suave — without a hint of bitterness.

03

Roasted to order

We roast after you order and ship within 48 hours, so the coffee that lands on your counter is days from the roaster, never months off a warehouse shelf.
